Truth:The belt of the armour

John 14:6 Jesus answered Him,"I am the way the truth and the life:no one goes to the Father except through me." Are you born again? Have you accepted Jesus as the LORD of your life? Have you confessed in your heart that Jesus Christ is the saviour and the true vine? Have you received the Spirit of God? Being born again is believing in Jesus Christ. It is believing in the one who God sent John 6:29 Jesus answered,"What God wants you to do is to believe in the one he sent." Since Jesus is the bread of life, anyone who believes in Him will have eternal life. Two things happen immediately you believe in Jesus: -You receive the Holy Spirit -You receive eternal life To receive the Holy Spirit, you must have faith in Jesus and also have faith in the Father and believe that God raised Him to life. It is through faith that we are made right with God. Our deeds can never earn it. Romans 5:1 Now that we have been put right with God through faith, we have peace with God through...

The train of salvation

The train set off to begin its journey millennia ago, since the beginning of time. The train with infinite coaches always departing and yet it never really leaves. The train meant to carry everyone awaits for you to climb aboard. The train is in motion yet still stationary to allow anyone who wants to board to jump in. Once aboard, your coach leaves; you're called to pay attention to the journey and the destination. If attention is not paid, you begin running through the coaches back to the boarding station. Be careful not to lose focus. Be cautious that you don't end up running back to the station. For if you do it long enough, then I'm afraid you'll at one point have to alight and getting back on is not as easy as you did before. Let's say you didn't lose your focus, let's say you continued to pay attention. The journey is beautiful. The scenery is breathtaking and the destination gleaming with a glorious light. You have to remember that the train has its ...

Slaves of righteousness

Romans 6:18-20 (For we are now alive in union with Christ, then we are no longer slaves of sin but we are now slaves of righteousness.) At one time you were a slave of sin and you commited all of yourselves to indulge in wickedness and in sinful acts. Now that you have been set free, how hard is it to commit yourselves fully to righteousness? Is it because you still desire what the world has to offer? Is it that you feel restricted by the law and by the word? Choose to be intentional about seeking the kingdom and its righteousness. After all, we have been bought at a price and we no longer belong to ourselves for it is the Spirit of God who now lives in us. Therefore we should seek and hunger to live a life worthy of the price paid on the cross by our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. He did it all for the love he has for us and His grace poured over us. We received the Holy Spirit the day we accepted Jesus in our hearts as the Lord of our lives. He is called the helper. Jesus calls Him th...

The bare minimum - Part 2:Holiness

Isaiah 1:19-20 "If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land; but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.” For the mouth of the Lord has spoken. Meaning that yes you can be saved but if you don't obey what God has instructed us to do then we won't escape. God is the one who has called us to live holy lives. He has called us to repent and turn away from sin. If we do not obey what God has told us to do then we become rebels. We are not sinners but rebels. And the word of God says that both will be slain by the sword. A people that have been saved and call themselves christians but still go on living in sin, That is the fallen church. The adulterous church that is engaging with the things of the world. This fallen church will not be taken up during rapture! It is the holy church that has separated itself from the world and from sin which will get to go to heaven during rapture. * * * In that word of scripture that say...

The bare minimum - Part 1: 95%

Take this analogy, If you were told that your phone's battery percentage is to stay above 95% all the time and the authorities will conduct a random check once to see if that's the case for everyone, and if yours is found to be less than that, you're thrown to jail for the rest of your life, wouldn't you do everything to ensure that your phone's battery percentage won't go below 95%. You would have no excuse at all as to why your battery charge is below the said percentage. Why is that so? Because electricity is everywhere. Because every phone came with its own charger. If not, then who said you can't borrow a charger. If at all you don't have access to electricity then there are charging stations where you could take your phone to be charged. So it means that it's totally on you if the authorities come to check and find your battery's percentage and find that it's below 95%. Since the authorities have taken so long without coming to conduct ...

He knows

At the bottom of Mt.Everest, he stood there wondering,"Will I ever make it to the top? Am I dressed warm enough? Have I got enough supplies for the hike? Am I strong enough?" Deeply invested in his thoughts, the guide came to him and seeing the look on his face,"Don't worry mate, everything's gonna be alright." He assured him. The guard had probably been up the mountain several times and he knew what to expect and how to navigate the harsh terrain and survive the intense weather. Having a guide on that trip really gave him hope and assurance that all will be okay. John 11:35 Jesus wept. Jesus, our Lord and savior who was given all authority and the one who sits at the right hand side of God, came down to earth as a human. When his good friend Lazarus died Jesus went to his village and seeing how people mourned his death, Jesus also cried. This means that Jesus could feel every single emotion that comes with being human. Though he was 100% God, he was 100% hu...

Love right

"Why do you love me?" She asked me."I don't have a reason; I just love you." "How is it that you can love me without a reason?" She insisted "Well you see, if I needed a reason to love you, the day that 'reason' is removed from your life then what will I have to love?" John 13:34 And now I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. Have you known love? Do you know how to love? Have you been loved? Do you have love within you? We didn't initiate love. God is the initiator of love. We are to receive the great love that our father has shown us and in turn show others the same love. Love is so precious. Whatever is precious has to be valued. For us to value love, we must then love with the same measure of standard that God has loved us. 1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does...
