A good servant
When you are given work to do, you make sure that you deliver the best so that you may impress and please the one who gave you the work.
1 Timothy 4:6
If you give these instructions to the believers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, as you feed yourself spiritually on the words of faith and of the true teaching which you have followed.
For every work to be done, a set of instructions and guidelines are given so as to do and complete the task given appropriately.
By following the instructions and completing the task, one is deemed as a good servant.
In this case our master is Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 2:15
Do your best to win full approval in God's sight, as a worker who is not ashamed of his work, one who correctly teaches the message of God's truth.
So then, we who have been called to righteousness should do our best to turn from doing wrong. For us to be used as vessels of God's work, we must strive for righteousness and living a clean life.
2 Timothy 2:19
But the solid foundation that God has laid cannot be shaken; and on it are written these words: "The Lord knows who are His" and " All who say the belong to the Lord must turn away from wrong doing."
We have been called to serve and to work. In our service, we are urged to avoid the passions of youth and strive for righteousness, faith ,love and peace.(2 Timothy 2:22)
We ought to be faithful in the service of our LORD. We are to do everything that is required of us with love and patience for there is a prize at the end; being put right with God. (2 Timothy 4:8)
2 Timothy 1:14
Through the power of the Holy Spirit, who lives in us, keep the good things that have been entrusted to you.
Through the diversity in the gifts that the Holy Spirit gives, we all have a significant part to play in the body of Christ. For the body is made up of many parts each having its special function. And we should all find our part in the body of Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:28
In the church God has put all in place: in the first place apostles, in the second place prophets and in the third place teachers; then those who perform miracles, followed by those who are given the power to heal or to help others or to direct them or to speak in strange tongues.
It is clearly written that God has a place for each one of us in his service. We all have a place in the body of Christ. With the power of the Holy Spirit, we are able to perform our service as he enables us. We should all be accountable and responsible for the gifts entrusted to us by the Holy Spirit.
1 Timothy 4:14-15
Do not neglect the spiritual gift that is in you, which was given to you when the prophets spoke and the elders laid their hands on you.
Practice these things and devote yourselves to them, in order that your progress may be seen by all.
1 Timothy 4:8
Physical exercise has some value, but spiritual exercise is valuable in every way, because it promises life for both the present and for the future.
It's made clear that we should exercise our Spirit given gifts in order to live in the service of the Lord and through this, there is a promise of life. It all goes hand in hand in doing the will of God.
Romans 12:6
So we are to use our different gifts in accordance with the grace that God has given us. If our gift is to speak God's message, we should it according to the faith that we have;
Let us all be intentional about discovering what it is the Holy Spirit has entrusted you with. And with love let us do all this things
1 Corinthians 13:2
I may have the gift of inspired preaching; I may have all the knowledge and understand all secrets; I may have all faith needed to move mountains — but if I have no love, I am nothing.
Let us serve and do all from love 's perspective for God loved us first. It is through His love that we get to experience the joy of salvation and the forgiveness of sin.
He showed us love like we've never seen before. He gave his son to die for our sins and he made us right with Him through our faith in Jesus.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
